Who is Gabriella?

Gaby is a journalist who writes news and features for national newspapers, magazines and websites. She mainly write about issues affecting children and young people in the UK and internationally, global development and business.

Formerly senior reporter at Children & Young People Now magazine, she has also worked for youth charities including YouthNet UK, Street Child in Sierra Leone and Y Care International.

In 2013 she was shortlisted for the CIPR award for most promising newcomer to education journalism, and in 2012 she won the Towers Watson award for Best HR newcomer to journalism.

Feature writing, reporting, editing, researching and commissioning, with particular knowledge of children and youth policy, third sector, local government, politics, international development, business, HR, and West Africa.

Little-known fact

Gabriella once spent two weeks caring for abandoned monkeys in the Amazon. The experience destroyed her previous love of the animals, but confirmed to her she’s not a quitter, despite the daily physical attacks and poo-throwing.
