April power

We’ve been showing off our integrated comms skills in April, from brand positioning to policy and public affairs, media training to securing headlines, digital reviews to website development!

Our flagship event Changing hearts and minds is getting closer. With an expert speaker line-up on the theme of people, power and persuasion, we’re delighted so many colleagues from charities, unions and civil society have already signed up to share and learn on Wednesday 10 June. Book now!

Our crisis readiness survey has officially closed, and we're now analysing the results. Thank you to everyone who took the time to participate – we'll be sharing the full results and recommendations with you very soon.

Becky and Gemma Davidson joined the Nautilus team for a day of media training. Focused on real-world media requests about the plight of seafarers stuck in the Strait of Hormuz, we helped the union’s top team prepare for interviews about a rapidly changing situation.

And we continued to support Nautilus’s new website project, getting ready for the content creation phase. We want the new site to be an effective shop window by demonstrating the union’s work is firmly rooted in what seafarers care about.

The Society of Radiographers held its Annual Delegates’ Conference. We used the union's agenda as the basis for a delegates’ survey to create press interest on the issues that matter most to radiographers. Adi Bloom secured coverage for a motion calling for hospitals to better support patients with dementia.

Rachel Levett and Vic are delighted to be helping the Hallmark Foundation develop a new narrative and messaging playbook. If you’d like a light touch review of your brand positioning, get in touch!

We continued our work with BALPA on shaping their digital platforms, pulling together more insight from reps and members. Our work sets out why change is needed, the options on the table and the strategic decisions required to make the union’s digital comms simpler, faster and easier to manage.

Becky and Mark Watts continue to connect policy, industry and shared values in ways that will help the economy and environment, predominantly through our work with MAMII, which aims to drive the adoption of methane abatement technologies in the maritime industry.

Our PR specialist Catherine Cooper secured great coverage for Tree of Hope again this month, this time for their support of a family’s skydive to raise treatment funding for their son, who has cerebral palsy.

We support communications professionals at all stages of their careers – whether they’re moving into leadership, managing a transition or aiming to increase their impact where they are. We currently have availability for new coaching clients, so if you’re ready to invest in your development, we’d be happy to talk.
